Laboratory accreditation
Swedac’s accreditation symbol stands for quality and safety.
“Only organisations that are accredited (sometimes referred to as “body”) by Swedac may use the accreditation symbol. The symbol means that the activity has been assessed and approved in accordance with a certain standard. Each accreditation symbol is unique and contains the name of the standard that the accreditation covers and the accredited body’s accreditation number.”

Life Genomics is accredited according to ISO 15189 for gene panel analysis using Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) at our laboratory in Gothenburg. The accredited analysis is NIPT by Life Genomics, where we can analyse the whole genome by NGS and assess the probability of trisomies (13, 18 and 21, as well as rarer trisomies), sex chromosome abnormalities (X0, XXX, XXY and XYY) and deletions and duplications larger than 3 Mbp, as well as microdeletion 22q11.2 as small as 1 Mbp (DiGeorge syndrome).
