The purpose of this policy is to establish a standard for how Life Genomics employees act in the environmental area.
Life Genomics provides laboratory medicine services to public and private healthcare providers. In this work, various chemicals, reagents, etc. are handled. In addition to this, there is normal office work of an administrative nature as well as transport of personnel and samples.
Through its environmental management system, Life Genomics shall prevent and work continuously to reduce the environmental impact of the business. The environmental management system is included in the quality manual. This includes optimization of energy and material resources, recycling and minimization of substances that affect the environment. General and detailed targets regarding environmental impact are defined annually.
It is the responsibility of all employees to follow the laws and guidelines in the environmental field that apply in the country or region where the business is conducted. In addition, all employees are expected to know and follow this policy. Sub-consultants working on behalf of Life Genomics are also covered by this policy.
Policy and environmental management system must be documented. The documentation is primarily stored in the document management program Centuri.
This environmental policy must be available to the public via the company’s website.
